My name is Jessica Bernstein, and I’m running for a seat on the Board of Directors to promote
transparency, accountability, the long-term well-being of our community, and its most
valuable asset: you.

You might know me from walking my black and white dog, Gracie.

For the past three years, my mom, Kathy Bernstein, has proudly served on the Board, and I’m honored to continue the work she began – advocating for fairness, transparency, and responsible leadership that puts homeowners first because every homeowner deserves to be heard and represented.

Here’s what I bring to the table:
● Communications & Project Leadership: 12+ years of collaboration, transparent
communications, project management, research, and strategic decision-making.
● Community Focus: A track record of fairness, inclusivity, and resident advocacy.
● Problem-Solving: A “can-do” approach to tackling challenges with precision and detail.
● Rule Enforcement: Strong knowledge of bylaws, CC&Rs, and state/local regulations.

We can move forward constructively by working together with Doreen and the Sunrise Management team to
make thoughtful, timely decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of our homeowners.

● Protect our community and its financial health.
● Improve communication

I am deeply committed to doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. I will always stand up for fairness and speak out against misconduct, bullying, or intimidation.

Cumulative Voting

Our Bylaws allow cumulative voting. You may allocate all 5 of your votes to one candidate or divide them among multiple candidates.

Through conversations with each of them, I know they share the same priorities: working collaboratively with Sunrise, restoring peace and stability in our community, and leading with professionalism and accountability. They are qualified, thoughtful, and ready to contribute. Most importantly, I know that with this group, our actions will match our words. Together, we can move this community forward.
